The Fultz — Approved!
143 & 153 Sackville Drive
On March 9, 2026, the Halifax North West Community Council approved the Development Agreement for the proposed The Fultz, a 301 unit development composed of one 14 storey, one 13 storey tower plus ground floor commercial development at 143 and 153 Sackville Drive. The project includes over 12,000 square feet ground-floor commercial space and adheres to the principles of pedestrian-friendly streets. JP Sun Developments, the property owner and developer, envisioned a distinctive multi-unit building that adds a well landscaped, pedestrian friendly mix of commercial with residential space, that aims to fill the gap for local residents wishing to downsize, but remain in their community. The Fultz pays homage to the Fultz House, the first home built in Sackville by Bennett and Mary Fultz in 1863. The development was designed by Paul Skerry Architects, whose design will become the greeting card of Lower Sackville.
