Bakery Place – Approved!
On May 12, 2025, the Halifax North West Community Council approved the Development Agreement for the proposed Bakery Place, a five-storey, 47-unit building at 893 Sackville Drive. The project includes a small ground-floor commercial space and adheres to the principles of pedestrian-friendly streets. Rysco Developments, the property owner and developer, envisioned a distinctive multi-unit building that would both stand out and complement the surrounding residential homes and the adjacent Holy Trinity Parish. This vision was brought to life by Fathom Studio, whose architectural design features a gable roof and thoughtful use of texture, colour, and masonry at the ground level to create a welcoming, human-scale experience for residents and pedestrians.
